Fat grafting is a procedure in which unnecessary fat is harvested from areas with high fat accumulation, such as the thighs or abdomen, and only pure fat is extracted through centrifugation to be injected into areas that have lost volume, such as the cheeks or forehead.

QHow much of the grafted fat remains?

A portion of the grafted fat is naturally absorbed, while the rest survives and settles in place. DIVA extracts only pure fat and blocks contact with air to increase the survival rate, and adjusts the graft amount by taking the absorption rate into account.

QHow long do the swelling and bruising last?

There may be swelling and bruising in both the graft and donor sites for about 1 to 2 weeks. Stitches are removed after 7 days, and you can resume daily activities after 5 to 7 days.

QHow is it different from fillers?

While fillers are absorbed over time and require repeated procedures, engrafted autologous fat lasts for a long time. Because it is your own tissue, there is less concern about foreign body reactions, and you can also reduce unwanted fat from the harvest site.
